Water Ramps, Quebec Canada

I just arrived in beautiful Quebec, Canada for the start of a little summer water ramp training! For those who don’t know what water ramps are, the name explains it all. It’s the same as an on-snow jump, the only difference is the landing is a pool of water and the run in for the jump has a “meanie” on it, which is a plastic type material that when watered down turns into a slippery slope so that we can hit the jump! I have a picture of the facility to help you get a better idea of what it looks like if you haven’t seen these before!

Today was the first day and it was super fun getting used to the ramps again and playing around with some new tricks! It definitely takes a few tries to get used to skiing on plastic instead of snow, but once you get used to it it’s a lot of fun!

Smiling away before the inevitable plunge into the pool!

Stay tuned for more from this week! :D
