World Cup Big Air, Voss Norway Day 1
Today we had the first day of training for the World Cup Big Air in Norway! The jump is great, it is not to big, we have good speed, and the weather was fairly nice all day with it being around 3 degrees Celsius!
Only one problem, my ski bag didn’t arrive… So I had to borrow everything from my buddy Klause Finne who’s house I am staying at and is also one of the Norwegian professional skiers. I borrowed his skis, helmet, gloves, pants, jacket and ski socks. Luckily I had my boots with me on the plane which is the most important thing to have if your bags get lost! So basically today I just kind of got the feel for the jump and did a couple mellow tricks because the skis I was riding were a lot bigger and different than the ones I am used to.
Another thing that sucked was that my contact lenses for my eyes were also in my ski bag… So I had to wear my glasses under my ski goggles and I looked pretty dumb hahahaha
Qualifications are going down tomorrow and I just received my ski bag, which is awesome! Stoked to be riding in my own gear tomorrow… stay tuned !
